Kids Admin — Setup & FAQ
Think of Kids Admin as your family's "Digital Command Center". It's a special dashboard where parents can see everything important in one glance—like a smart refrigerator magnet that also knows where everyone is!
It connects three big parts of your family life: Tasks (chores), Safety (location), and Time (calendar). Everything stays private to your Circle.
How it works (simple explanation)
- The "Who": Adding Kids
First, you tell the system who your kids are in Admin → Kids. It's like making a profile card for them. You save their Name, Phone for text alerts, and even their device's "IP Address" so the system knows which iPad or Phone belongs to whom. - The "Connection": Mapping
To make the magic work, you "Map" (connect) that profile card to a real Login Account. This is the secret sauce! Once mapped, when you assign a chore to "Timmy," it actually shows up on Timmy's real screen. - The "What": Tasks & Chores
You create tasks like "Do Homework" or "Walk the Dog." You can set them to repeat every day. When you make a task here, it keeps a "copy" in the Kids Admin Dashboard so you can check it off, AND it sends a "copy" to the child's device. - The "When": Magic Calendar Sync
Here is the cool part: Because you "Mapped" the kid, any task with a Due Date automatically appears on the main Family Calendar. This means you don't have to write it twice! If you say "Homework due at 5 PM," it shows up on the wall calendar for everyone to see. - The "Where": Geofencing & Safety
You can draw invisible safety circles (Geofences) around places like Home or School. Inside Kids Admin, there is a "Live 1:1 Check" button. When you click it, the system asks the kid's phone:"Hey, are you inside the Safe Circle?"- If YES: It says "✅ Safe at Home".
- If NO: It says "⚠️ Outside all zones".
- The "Truth": CIP & Identity
Circle Identity Protocol (CIP) is the high-security backbone. It means every kid has a Single Source of Truth for their identity. You don't just type a name; the system cryptographically maps their session to their profile. This prevents "Identity Drift" and ensures that safety locks only fire on the correct device. - The "Closed Loop": Responding to Alerts
When a task or safety alert fires, it starts a Closed Loop. It doesn't just vanish; the system waits for a Resolution (Done, Refused, or Parent-Cleared). This ensures nothing falls through the cracks.
Travel, Overseas & Out of State
"Can I use this if we travel or live apart?"
YES. The connection is 100% In-App. It uses the internet (Wi-Fi or Mobile Data) just like a video call or email.
Legal & Usage Disclaimer
"Works worldwide via Wi-Fi/Data. No SMS fees."
- Requires Internet: The child's device MUST have an active internet connection to receive tasks or locks.
- Offline = Safe but Unreachable: If they turn off the internet, the "Green Dot" will turn gray. You cannot send new commands, but Auto-Locks already saved on their device will still fire!
Time Zones
If you are in New York but your child is in London, set their Time Zone in their profile. We will show you "8:00 PM" (Their Time) so you don't have to do the math.
Plan limits
- Free: up to 1 child (5 live checks/day)
- Lite: up to 2 children (10 live checks/day)
- Elite: unlimited children (15 live checks/day)
Common Questions
Do I need to buy a separate app for my child?
No, they just download the standard CareCircle App and log in with the account you "Mapped" to them. The app looks different for them (it mostly shows their task list).
How do I get the IP Address?
Look at the child's device in his app under Settings → Device Info. It will say something like 192.168.1.50. Put that in the Kids Admin "IP Address" field.
Why does the lock say "Failed"?
This usually means the child's phone has the Wi-Fi turned off or they closed the app. Check the "Green/Gray Dot" next to their name. If it is gray, they are not reachable right now.
