Kids Admin — Setup & FAQ
Kids Admin lets families create simple tasks, acknowledgements, and gentle parental nudges. Everything stays private to your Circle.
How it works (simple)
- Add your kids locally in Admin → Kids. Names/phones/IPs are stored on your device for convenience.
- (Optional) Map each local kid to an API “Child” user so tasks can sync.
- Create tasks (one-time or repeating). Choose who they’re for and when they’re due.
- Kids can acknowledge tasks; parents can add quick comments or require photo proof.
- (Optional) Enable gentle “enforce” actions for overdue items (e.g., lock screen, play alert).
Plan limits
- Free: up to 1 child
- Lite: up to 2 children
- Elite: unlimited children
What we record / What we never collect
What we record
- Task titles, due times, and completion state
- Who a task is assigned to (child user)
- (Optional) Photo proof attached to a task
- Minimal device presence state (online/offline) for convenience
What we never collect
- No keystrokes or browsing history
- No message contents or passwords
- No microphone/camera recordings (outside of explicit photo proof you choose to attach)
- No advertising trackers and no data resale
Privacy & safety tips
- Be transparent: talk with kids about what tasks are for and how acknowledgements work.
- Use the minimum needed: keep tasks simple; delete old ones regularly.
- Parents control all data inside your Circle. No advertising or resale.
- Gentle first: use “enforce” options sparingly and explain them ahead of time.
Troubleshooting
- Tasks not appearing? Make sure each local kid is mapped to an API “Child” user.
- Ack button fails? Ensure you’re acting as a valid user and your session hasn’t expired.
- Photo proof blocked? Check the device’s camera permissions for the browser/app.
- Presence stuck offline? The device may be sleeping or conserving battery; try waking/unlocking it.
