MTR — Setup & FAQ
Medication Administration Record (MTR) helps families and caregivers track medications accurately. Circle Bot can now answer questions like "Did she take her meds?" directly in the Family Chat.
How it works
- 1
Manual Fast-Entry
For quick additions, tap Add manual med. Browser prompts will guide you through Name, Route, Form, and Dose in seconds.
- 2
Photo Scan & OCR
Take a photo of a prescription label. AI extracts the Drug Name, Strength, and complex Directions (SIG) automatically.
- 3
Smart Paste (Batch Import)
Copy a list of medications from a patient portal or pharmacy list and paste the whole row. It even handles multi-row batch imports.
Adding Medications: The Hybrid System
Option A: Manual Prompts
Best for simple OTC meds or quick additions. When you tap Add manual med, you’ll see a sequence of prompts:
- 1. Medication (name/strength)
- 2. Route (Default: PO)
- 3. Form (Default: TAB)
- 4. Amount (Default: 1)
- 5. Times today (Default: 08:00, 12:00, 18:00, 21:00)
Option B: Photo Scan & Smart Paste
Best for complex prescription labels or copying from pharmacy portals.
Photo Scan
Points your camera at the bottle. AI extracts even long directions like:
"Ibuprofen (MOTRIN) 800 mg Oral Tab. Take 1 tablet by mouth every 8 hours as needed..."
Smart Paste
Copy a whole row (or multiple rows) from a list and paste. It automatically splits multi-med imports into separate drafts.
